Callie Barr Discusses Future of PFAS Remediation Funding
Callie Barr, the Democratic candidate for Michigan’s 1st Congressional District, visited Grayling Township Oct. 13 to meet with officials regarding PFAS contamination. Barr said she saw the meeting as an opportunity to “learn as much as possible” and be an advocate for remediation efforts.
Funding the remediation efforts was a large topic of discussion at the meeting, with officials emphasizing the need for legislative funds to get the project done.
“We need to take care of our communities, we need to take care of our home,” Barr said.
